Small Shower Transformed

With materials from the tile collection, Wow – Kintsugi, we transformed this shower into a calming oasis. This Kintsugi tile is inspired by the simplicity and imperfect quality that make any object whole. The gold streaks throughout reflect Japanese pottery that has been broken and mended with gold.

Surrounded by this inspiration for a morning shower is the perfect way to start any day.

A long granite shelf that goes the length of shower blends in well with the tile. It has space for all necessary products while maintaining the simplicity of the design. Gold hardware and a golden penny round floor finished the space.

Small grout lines are best for imperfect tiles like these and other styles like the Moroccan Zellige tile. Grout remains necessary in showers to keep it waterproof but the small grout lines keep the focus on the organic and imperfect tile.
